Opening, a series of vignettes that are connected by camera work of character movement, communication, and aspect to aspect:
1983, Earth-???? after events of Secret Wars
In Alaska, we are at an airport where Scott and Alex are meeting their pilot, Maddie. Their Dad is a no show again. We follow an airplane attendant Amanda, flying from Anchorage to NYC. She hails a cab, as Logan and Mariko do the same. As she heads home to her apartment, walks in to find Kurt with a strategically placed stuffy of a Bamph, and the bubble bath running. Out the window we head to Candy’s apartment where a story is playing on the news of an incident in SF a mutant attack on the Golden Gate Bridge involving a mutant, Spider-Woman and a Aviator named Carol. Candy find’s a feather and calls on dial up, Chuck on the car phone who is about to head from his car into a lecture. He sends out a telepathic signal. As Candy has s shadowy figure behind her and her body is flung out a window of the skyscraper. Kurt catches her in mid air and lands her back in his apartment, landing in the bath with Amanda. The glass from the broken window lands is in the bath and on the street in front of a Dazzler concert exiting. Landing near a shadowed figure watches Kitty, Ororo. Stevie and Jessica (Drew…from the news) exit the show. They bump into an inebriated down on his luck person who notes they should watch out for the shadowy figure. Probably a “Mutie.” They note it with bias and press on. The inebriated gentleman stumbles into an alley as a young women emerges from a side exit and is startled. Her power emerge for the first time and kills him, in horror for them both. The shadowy figure escapes through a manhole, having witnessed the murder. A huge man punched another large man, the earth of NYC shakes in this area and an explosion of liquid nitrogen tanks on a truck all happens in sequence nearby the concert. Piotr’s body is in agony, as Kitty, Ororo, Stevie, and Jessica witness the scene. Raven and Irene are on the phone with the assailants, three, that took out Piotr. They turn their attention to their daughter Rogue, who is on a bus, returning from SF. They have reservation about her plan to join the School of Gifted Youngsters, despite Chuck being the only one they know of who can help with her current mental state. At the bus depot where Rogue is on the phone, two sisters board a bus, one being the murder and the other being Dazzler in disguise.

Act I:
Kitty Pryde: “Professor Xavier is a JERK!”
The camera pulls away from the two freshmen in the snow as Illyana pulls on Kitty to run, and the camera shifts to a birdseed view from the window. A noise, and the shadow of a dragon shape seems to have the view point. The freshmen bring in the School for Gifted Youngsters mail. Kitty is going on about the evening of the concert and how she is an X-Men and should be able to go out again, nothing happened to her and Illyana is trying to be a friend and listen, but has her own concerns. They stop outside Piotr’s medical care provided by Chuck & Moira, Hank and Reed on the screen. Illyana hands ,observing Ororo, the postcards and heads to the girls room. Ororo and Kitty stay behind for a bit, before heading to the room. The postcard from Scott and Aleytys on a tropical island mentions playing pirates and getting shipped wrecked. A card from Logan and Mariko in Japan, wedding announcement. Strikes us as a bit late…and sets communication speed expectations. “If I fall in love…” while entering the room and looking at Illyana, leaving Ororo in the hallway. The door closes, Illyana checks in on the complexity that is the girls lives. Kitty is sarcastic in response. Lockheed: “kwōōō?” A quiet moment of the girls studying. Kitty gets a call from her Dad, the divorce is finalized.

At the airport a group of X-Men great Logan back from Japan, he mentions to Kitty that he took care of “it.” Her relief is palatable. Moments later, Ororo realizes folks hate mutants. Chuck is evedroping on their minds. Dazzlers film is the reason.

Logan is near the concert hall, looking into the explosion that took out Piotr. He picks up a sent. Chuck is in contact with X-Men in the field, as he exits his lecture at Columbia again. Transitioning in conversations from Logan to Nightcrawler and Ororo who are following leads from the feather. Chuck passes anti-mutant graffiti and is attacked from behind, as he notes the thoughts of his students from the lecture hall. He is rescued and taken in by a large figure..

Kitty and Magik are on a NYC corner, defying their curfew and Kitty there to follow the lead of the feather herself. Illyana wants to return to her brothers side back at school. So they part ways. Nightcrawler and Ororo discover a crucified WWIII on an X. As they attempt to release him they are attacked by Morlocks and brought before Callisto. They bargen for his life. He is accused as being a member of the wealthy elitist Hell Fire Club. A hand to hand knife fight for leadership is the only way. Ororo wins. Kitty is more than just lost in the tunnels.

“She is not yet 15” -Ororo
A storm brews outside the Baxter Building’s hospital, as Ororo masks her emotions. Kitty’s body is to be identified by Ororo, Rogue, Logan. Sents wrong. It is not Kitty. The girls face has been changed by Masque.
Caliban is dressed to impress. Unlikable, resilient, defiant, Kitty is a snot nosed and entitled. Ororo will be mad. Kitty makes a brake for it through walls and tunnels, that is until she we encounter Leech for the first time. He walks her back to the Morlocks as she thinks she is helping him. She is the one who is lost. Anyone object to this ceremeny.
“I do.” -Ororo
Chuck wakes in an SnM get up in a morlock room. He has been healed by Healer. Kitty deescalates, by saying they all need to work to heal Piotr. Chuck and Healer emerge, “we agree.” Caliban and Kitty meet and she makes it clear how she feels and he accepts reality. A peaceful resolution.
A series of shots ring out in the night.
Chuck and Callisto walking the tunnels when:
Off screen: “CALLISTO”
Callisto (about to board the train and expecting Chuck to follow, so he can be taken home…fate, Claremont, has other plans): SUNDER - - !?!”
Next: Sunder and other Morlocks caring children’s bodies.
Sunder: “ANNALEE’S KIDS - - somebody SHOT ‘em. Cal - - MURDERED ‘em in COLD BLOOD!!
Callisto close up: “See Xavier - - SEE!”
Danger room session with the Mutants is interrupted by Chuck and Callisto entry through a secret passageway…self serious walk off Chuck to laughs. Awkward.

Act II:
1984
Rogue is refelctive, conflicted and a member of the X-Men, as she enters into her home…we will recognize it perhaps as Carol’s southern home instead, but she will be conflating this with her home with her Moms. It’s Carol’s. A shield agent comes in and she knows him from growing up and she gets flirty. He doesn’t know her. He does know Carol. He also thinks she killed a fellow agent. She didn’t. That is manipulation of events by Hellfire Club. He is here to take her in. He can’t and she isn’t volunteering. His name is Micky.
Micky: “I wish I had the power to kill you.” Rogue: “…so do I.”

Some towny kids approach the school late at night. There is a massive party, A reference to DEMON BEAR by The Mutants. There is also mention of Tom and Sharon back in Scotland. Rachel is new and struggling. Kitty is throwing her off. A creature lands from space in pond, as the boys are all outside, talking about a concert, the next night. And so, Lila is introduced so we get LilaSam and a balance to Dazzler Pop vibes. She teleports them to another part of the universe for the after party, and then back. Warlock is central, he bing the creature that landed, is developed between these two parties.

Val and Raven are in Dallas for a meeting with her pal Forge who has a solution to their problem. Enters sexy forge and Val and Raven make a deal for the mutant neutralizing gun. They have an operation in the field to test it on.
Rouge is back in Miss, she is starting to feel like herself, at least for the moment, back home, with Chucks help. Ororo drops in to hashing things out, regarding her past and the Carol events. They decided to touch skin, a mutual concern. Right then, with Val, Raven, Gyrich, Forge present they are confronted by government team that uses Froges weapon on them. Ororo is depowered as the target Rogue.
This kicks off Life Death; Forge takes care of Ororo in Dallas and she gets upset after they get attached, and understands what he did. Naze is introduced as a wise Logan type. Amanda and Kurt join the scene in Dallas. As does Rachel, who is there to reveal what is supposed to happen…they are all supposed to die.

Act III:
Ororo is on ship headed to Africa.
Meanwhile, back in NYC: Power Pack are kidnapped by Morlocks because Annalee needs kids. Juile is Nancy drew. Katie is the victim…but bad ass.
Someone is checking old voicemails at the school at chucks desk. A voice mail from Kitty about being kidnapped. ”If you (Chuck) never come back then it really doesn’t matter” CLICK! The, “someone,” deletes the messages. X-Men save them and then get an alert from Magneto.

Chuck is dying. Likely won’t make it. Rachel is telepathically eaves dropping, bad habit she has picked up from Chuck. In Alaska, Maddie and Scott are pregnant. Logan and Mariko are headed for divorce.
Upon Logan’s return he and Kurt are with Piotr at a bar. They are confronting his inappropriate feelings for someone not of a age and younger than him. They process and he is coming around.
Kurt to Piotr: “You just a boy.” Well that too!
Logan is like you owed her an appology for messing with her emotions and not being the mature one. She had suffered too, been kidnapping.
Logan: “like Kitty did for you?”
HELLA!
Logan: “SHE’S 14, PETER. BUT TO SAVE YOU, SHE AGREED TO MARRY CALIBAN AND JOIN THE MORLOCKS IF CALIBAN HADN’T RELEASED HER FROM THE VOW, SHE’D BE THERE TODAY. YOU NEVER EVEN SAID, ‘THANK YOU.”
Piotr is pissed and bumps into a guy. It’s cain and Salene (though we don’t know this till the end.) They brawl, while Kurt and Logan watch.
Cain pays for the bar clean up.
Selene reveled on rooftop observes the three X-Men leave.
